Colon cancer and stomach pain

Colon cancer and stomach pain

Colon cancer and stomach pain are usually two different things entirely.   No one wants to find out that their pain in the stomach is actually more seriously than they thought.  As a matter of fact, don’t we often over imagine the worst but then have a hard time believing it when the diagnosis is the worst we imagined?

Colon cancer is a scary thing.  What can we do ahead of time to prevent the onset where possible?  A diet of high fiber, live fruits and vegetables, water and deep breathing through exercise is important.

Regular check ups as you age provide a baseline for disease detection.

Types of Stomach Pain part II

In Types of Stomach Pain I we talked about not only the different types of stomach pain but the causes of stomach pain.

Little tidbit: Sometimes something as simple as eating more slowly and with your mouth closed might just be what you need to stop your bellyaching?  Did you know you can actually take in air if you eat too fast which will turn into gas and belching.  For some people it is a matter that they just eat too fast and too much at a time and need to slow it down a bit and savor what you eat.

So onto other causes and types of stomach pain of a more serious nature.

There are diseases that none of us want to consider when we get a pain in our bellies.  To name a few, colon cancer, stomach cancer, diabetes related stomach pain like GERD we spoke about in Part I, Gallstones, Pancreatitis, Ulcers and even Thyroid disease.

Indigestion and Stomach Pain

Indigestion and Stomach Pain

Indigestion doesn’t just happen.  It isn’t from eating too much candy one day unless you have already been eating too much junk food over many days.  It comes over time and follows deficiency.  Another name for it is dyspepsia.

Dyspepsia broken down mean bad (dys) and pepsis (digestion).  Voila, you have bad digestion.  Isn’t that a hoot?  Not if you are suffering.

Feeling pain after a meal along with burning pain maybe a sign of heartburn which is more serious issue.  We will address that below.

You may experience pain and only a few symptoms at first and think nothing of it.  As a pattern arises you’ll notice a few clustered symptoms until the list begins to grow over time.  Basically you will most often feel bloated/bloating, burning in your upper stomach/abdomen/belly.  You might have gas or find yourself belching, whether it was a good meal or not.

Some indigestion sufferers will feel experience nausea followed by vomiting as the symptoms worsen over time.  Pain in the stomach/abdomen/belly is one of the most common signs of indigestion and this is usually caused by the gas and bloating.

Without proper calcium and its co-factors, or good friendly bacteria buffering stomach acids you may experience an acidic taste in your mouth and when your stress levels are higher the pain may increase.

Please, this is no time to consider taking  Tums.  Do your research and you will find many interesting articles about how they will rot your stomach when used regularly and your pain will not be masked down the road.  You can read about studies being done on the dangers of continued use of Tums and the stomach lining deterioration.

Read about diseases that are associated with stomach/abdomen/belly pain in our article on that subject.

When indigestion becomes a regular thing it is often a sign of something more serious such as GERD.  GERD stands for gastroesophageal reflux disease.  Stomach ulcers are also very serious.  Thus, ongoing stomach pain should be noted to your doctor so you can be checked more closely.

If you have gas or bloating, a burning sensation or IBS, irrital bowel syndrome probiotics can be a safe, natural way to restore your stomach/abdomen/belly/intestinal tract to normal good bacterial levels without over the counter pills and liquids that only mask the problem.  Read about Alive Probiotics at their website or articles found here.  They are a product of choice.

Heartburn is burning sensation that is not a stomach pain as much as a chest pain since it is caused by stomach acid rising up into the esophagus.  Many people actually confuse heartburn with a heart attack but be careful and be sure.  Better safe than sorry if you have any doubt or history in your family of heart disease.

Over time these rising acids can actually break down the lining of the esophagus.  Other more serious issues can be the outcome.

What to do about Indigestion?  Simply change the way you eat, how much you eat and what you eat.  Read about Alive Probiotics and see how they might help you with just  two capsules per day.  Good digestion is not just about being pain free.  It goes beyond the pain in your stomach and includes hair, skin, nails, joints, tissues, organs and much more.  Your body needs to digest and absorb nutrients to make new healthy cells every day.

A toxic bowel will spread its toxicity into all major and minor systems of the body.  After all, we’ve all heard the saying “You are what you eat.”  And “Garbage in, garbage out.”  Right?
